Wading River, NY - September 30, 2016 - The Cheese & Spice Market, located at The Shoppes at East Wind in Wading River, NY will soon be opening for business, and the owner couldn’t be more delighted. “I am so happy that we can finally open the shop,” said Patty Kaczmarczyk, the market’s owner. “I have been planning this for more than two years. So many people have been following our progress and asking when will the shop open. I am ready and excited to please our customers by offering the best quality products and services."
The Cheese & Spice Market will carry a diverse line of artisanal and farmstead cheeses, local and domestic, and an impressive display of high-quality herbs, spices, seasoning, salts and teas from around the world. Common to exotic spices, from anise star to vanilla beans are dispensed from display jars in a variety of quantities at a fair price. “I want our customers to have fun and try different types of cheeses that they may not be familiar with,” said Patty Kaczmarczyk. “You will see, smell and taste the difference in all the products we carry.” The Cheese & Spice Market will also stock an assortment of crackers, baguettes, jams, charcuterie, coffees, teas, chocolates, gift items and gift baskets, and will offer cheese plates, platters and gift baskets for individuals, private parties, corporate events and visitors exploring the North Fork wine region and farms.
Patty Kaczmarczyk is a longtime resident of Wading River. She worked in the restaurant industry for more than 25 years and has extensive knowledge and experience with food and wine. She is also a superb cook and knows how to use spices to enhance the flavors of food. “I was inspired by some great chefs, and encouraged by family, friends and former customers to start my own business,” said Patty Kaczmarczyk. “My love of cheese, and for cooking with fresh products and good spices, led me to my decision to open the Cheese & Spice Market.”
The Cheese & Spice Market is located in a lovely destination shopping village, The Shoppes at East Wind, that is nestled in at the corner of 25A and Sound Avenue in Wading River adjacent to the East Wind Inn and Spa. Visitors can stroll along the brick paved walkways lined with unique specialty shops. There is also a beautiful carousel, green-space lawn, gazebo and benches throughout. The Shoppes plans to host family fun-filled holiday activities and events throughout the year. “This is a perfect location for my shop,” said Patty Kaczmarczyk. “It is close to my home and in the town that I grew up in. I am excited to share my love for cheese and cooking, and to fill the everyday needs of customers from the local communities, staying at East Wind or visiting to the North Fork.”
